the inside job #6

home sweet fresno
after traveling 16 hours, being stuck in 4 snow storms, and having to park in a hotel parking lot to get some shut eye for 30 minutes at 4 in the morning...
we.are.back
and
oh so happy!
+love being with my family and w/ my in-laws.
+i am SO diggin this warm california weather...
we laid out for an hour today..& it felt so good to have that sun hitting my face! [my husband even got burnt]
+if you ever want to play a fun [laugh your head off] type of game i have one for  you
LOADED QUESTIONS
oh, and also remember how i mentioned that i LOVED boba drinks?
we went to pearl tea house right after we got back.
YUM.
we are only for home for 3 weeks and we have big plans i tell ya, big plans
okay, well maybe not THAT exciting but to us they are..
beach, white water rafting, dirt bike riding trips & san fran.

what are YOUR big summer plans?

**********************************************************

now onto 'the inside job' business

growing up my mom has always stressed the importance of a SMILE
it really does tell a lot about a person!
&
it makes you look happy
even when your not happy "fake it till ya make it", right?
i'm a firm believer that if you fake it for so long you'll end up being happy.
but, honestly
it is amazing how smiling can actually make you feel better..
smiling leads to laughing which then creates joy...
which in result is a natural relief from stress, simple enough right?
SO,
smile more and REALLY mean it.

smiling is ESSENTIAL in life
1.) tells people that we are approachable
2.) it is the greatest asset we have because of the signals and messages it gives to others about who we are, what we want and how we wish to be. it is like a handy barometer to our mood and the type of disposition we have
3.) it is a big tool in interacting with strangers and making new friendships because we don't have to say anything. a smile cuts across language and says it all while making us seem even more attractive

white water rafting, my fave! I once went on a 5 day trip in Idaho rafting down the Salmon River. Well, my summer consists of teacher training for Teach for America but my boyfriend and I made a spring bucket list of things we want to do by June 1, which you can check out at my blog at www.missstilley.com!

that's the best quote. I sometimes scratch my head as to why some people walk around with such a pout on their face.
