when i first started this blog i didn't know what i was doing, i just wanted to be part of the blogging world to document our lives since we were recently engaged. i thought i was finally starting my life by taking that step of getting sealed for time and all eternity to the love of my life. after we were sealed we honeymooned for a week in mexico, which was bliss but so not 'real life'. soon after that we journeyed all night back up to rexburg where we moved into our first apartment together. it was fun moving in together, the nights staying up late talking and laughing just establishing our life as beau and lindee. we didn't have much but we made it work. we were lucky enough to live in a furnished apartment and decorated the rest with wedding gifts and things that we love.
while we were in rexburg we had set plans of moving to texas for the summer. beau had a set job and i did also, which i was already training for. we were stoked, we thought we were making the right decision and were ready for that next stage in life. a few weeks later after we confirmed our decision i got an e-mail from chelsea sybrowsky telling us about the job here in colorado and all the great possibilities that could be ours. i read the e-mail and mentioned it to beau but dismissed it because we had decided on texas. a few weeks went by and i couldn't get the thought of colorado out of my mind. i questioned whether texas was the right decision and so did beau. we decided we needed to get more information about what this colorado roofing job was all about. beau talked to jed [chelseas husband and owner of the company] and we weighed out our options. after much contemplation and prayer we both knew that colorado was where we needed to be for the summer. as much as i was excited about texas because of knowing what to expect i still knew that colorado was it. so, we took that leap of faith and decided to move out here. everything fell into place wit not a lot of effort. we found a place to live with members for a very decent price at a central location to where the work office was. after winter semester of school in rexburg we went back home to fresno for a few weeks then made the 22 hour drive here. we were hoping to find the perfect car for beau to convert to and from work. within two short weeks we found a car perfect for our price range. i, applied all over and was able to find a job within a week of being here. once again, everything was falling into place. then, beau started working and after weeks of weeks, no success. here, we pray for hail storms to total out roofs so that they can be replaced. all the houses beau would knock already had roofs replaced and there hadn't been any storms within the year. after i got off work i would go out and knock with beau in hopes that when we double teamed we could have some success. we had little here and there but nothing like we hoped for or imagined. i was getting discouraged and after two months of nothing i wondered why we were supposed to be here. we tried our best not to get down on ourselves but to try and stay positive. i'm so grateful for my job and the little help its been through these hard times. i know this was our test period and we needed to prove that we can be faithful and obedient through hard times, because i'm positive more hard time lie ahead in our future. lately, beau has been so successful and i can see the happiness on his face when he walks through the door. even though it was a rough beginning to a summer we weren't expecting it to be we have been able to not only grow strong as a couple since we rely on each other so much but, our faith in heavenly father and his plan has grown stronger to. i know we are where we are supposed to be and i feel it each week when we attend our ward. we have never been in a ward with members like these. our testimonies grow on a daily basis and i'm grateful for that. so, having said all this... times can change within such a short while.
i wonder where life will take beau and i in years down the road. i'm excited for what nexts but, i need to always be grateful for each day we have here.

I'm so glad things are starting to turn up with Beau's job! Rexburg was about the same for us. It was where we really grew together, but it wasn't easy. Those are the times we will always remember, and they will set us up for life. When life is tough, we will instantly rely on each other and look to the Lord for direction and strength. We miss you guys! Glad you are enjoying CO!
Steph- thanks for the comment. Beau and I were laying in bed watching your video of you eating the muscle, cracking up! We miss you guys but are glad we developed a friendship in Rexburg. We hope to meet up with you guys again, soon!
You can be assured there are tough times ahead...that's what makes tough people. Happy to hear you turned to each other and your Heavenly Father for strength and help. L-O-v-E Y-O-U T-W-O!
I am really glad things are working out now. Those summer jobs, the the heat, are not easy at all. It seems like faith is always required before the blessings flow but I've learned through residency that the toughest times, and most faith challenging times, are also the times I've grown the most and learned the most about Ammon and myself. I am also grateful you guys got to be out there with my siblings too. I just wish I was out there as well! I am so glad you blog so I can keep up with you guys!
