Every night when we are saying our nightly prays Beau thanks Heavenly Father for our good health and strength. ALWAYS. I have never really thought about what a blessing it is to have good health and to be functioning everyday. My grandma was recently diagnosed with cancer and I can't even fathom going through that. Also, my friend Christina Perez's husband of 2 months was just diagnosed with cancer and they are currently going through the chemo process. Bless her heart! I just finished reading her blog and I can only imagine all of the emotions she is feeling going through this huge trial. She's such an inspiration and being positive throughout it all. She talked about why these trials come to good people. She says we are living right, doing everything we should be, so why did this happen to us? That's a question I've asked myself too when I have been faced with different trials in my life minor or not. I came across this quote from Henry B. Eyring "The very opportunity for us to face adversity and affliction is part of the evidence of Their infinite love. God gave us the gift of living in mortality so that we could be prepared to receive the greatest of all the gifts of God, which is eternal life. Then our spirits will be changed. We will become able to want what God wants, to think as He thinks, and thus be prepared for the trust of an endless posterity to teach and to lead through tests to be raised up to qualify to live forever in eternal life." Heavenly Father never gives us a trial that we can't overcome. Through the hustle and bustle of our daily life's sometimes our blessings can get overlooked or unrecognized so I'm especially looking forward to this month of November to reflect on the things and blessings that we have in our life. Beau and I have been writing down one simple thing each night we are grateful for and it will be neat to reflect on in the future..
