beau + lindee

2011 was a great year for Beau and I. We saw many blessings in our lives and had lots of new adventures together. The year flew by and I can only imagine that it'll be the same with this year and the years to come. I love the fresh start of a new year and the opportunity it brings to reflect on whats most important in our lives and where our priorities should lie. We recently subscribed to the Ensign and so its been nice to get them on a monthly basis. I loved President Monson's talk on living an abundant life. What great advice he gave with the ABC'S which are A- have a positive attitude B- believe in yourself, in those around you and in eternal principles and C- for courage. Great advice for the new year!

Here are some highlights of 2011

1. Taught Beau how to ski and converted him over from snowboarding. 

2. Meghan and Maddie came up to visit from Provo. These girls are my best friends and ever since we've gone to different colleges our time spent together is rare.

  

3. Beau booked a hotel and we headed down to SLC for the weekend to go through the SLC temple. I'd never been to a live session before so it was really special.

4. We moved to Denver, Colorado for a job in April and were there through August. It was definitely challenging and a faith tester, but overall it was worth it! When we weren't working we had fun exploring downtown Denver, or laying by the pool at the local rec. centers. We LOVED our ward and met some amazing people that will always be our friends.

5. My mom flew into town and we went to Vail for the weekend. We went horse back riding and explored the perfect little city!

6. Flew to Long Beach for Lyndon's wedding and went to Disneyland and Newport. 

7. Went to see Garden of the Gods in Colorado.

8. Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and Beaus 23rd birthday in Cancun for a week. We lucked out with perfect weather and Beau won the iron man contest at the pool!

9. My family picture got put in the Ensign magazine during Conference weekend. 

10. Went to my 1st BYU football game and were lucky enough to get 5th row tickets thanks to Beaus Aunt Dana and Uncle Brad. Beaus cousin, Seth Probert, also got to play in that game so it was extra exciting.

11. My parents flew into SLC for Thanksgiving. It was great to have them there. We always have the best time together, not matter how crazy we act!

12. We traveled to Oakland for my best friend Bethany and Brandon's sealing/reception. Loved being there for them. 

13. Celebrated my 21st birthday and had a great Christmas break in Fresno. Let me tell you the time always goes by WAY too fast. We are looking forward to our next visit home, whenever that might be.
