Last week while I was at work I had such a peaceful feeling come over me. I just stopped whatever I was doing for a moment and thought "I am so happy!" I couldn't think of one thing that was going wrong in my life. I felt blessed. Beau and I are happy in our marriage, he is excelling in school, I'm able to work a lot and am completely loving it, we are both feeling productive and striving to be better people each day. After work I got on the phone with my mom and exclaimed to her that I've never been so happy. I just felt such a peace in my heart and was just happy to be living.
As I examined my life a little bit closer, I realized that a huge part of my happiness was because I was including the Lord in my life. I was reading a talk in this months ensign entitled 'Finding Harmony as we Struggle to Juggle' and it talked about finding peace through the hustle and bustle of life. One section in particular stuck out to me and it was about centering our life on the Savior. Sheri L. Dew said " When the primary focus of our life is to become disciples of Jesus Christ, every else- employment, home and church- falls into place. Coming unto Christ means walking away from the world. It means placing Christ and Christ only at the center of our lives." I loved this. It's been reaffirmed to me many a times that when you are living right and centering your life around Jesus Christ, you are happy. No matter what.
