Have you ever had one of those unexpected experiences that make you stop in your tracks and re-evaluate things? Well we did. A few weeks ago my family noticed that our dog Boo was lethargic and really not doing well. My parents thought that he had a stomach bug or an illness that could be cured immediately. The next week my mom took him into the vet and found out that his kidneys were failing. They took him into get I.V treatments three times a week with no improvement. After much prayer and contemplation and seeing Boo suffer too much they decided that the hardest, but best decision would be to put him down and last Saturday they did just that. To those who have dogs that they love, they know that they quickly become part of the family and Boo was one of those. Its been super hard on my family and as I've been talking with my mom about this instant loss we've both thought that this life is all about the relationships you have. Whether its with people or not that's what life is all about. The things of the world don't matter, but the relationships/friendships that you make along the way and the memories and experiences you create with them are what do. I've been thinking about this everyday and kind of reevaluating my actions and the relationships that I have. Are the things that I'm doing daily helping to improve my relationships? Are the activities I'm doing wasting my time away or enriching my life?

Thank you for this tribute to Boo Boy. This was really well written.
We love him and miss him. I love you.
Love,
Mom
So sorry to hear that, such a cute little guy. Dogs really do become such a big part of the family, and it's so sad to see them go. Just a few months ago my mom's little dog was acting strange so she took him to the vet too. Found out he had cancer - and that it had spread everywhere. Within hours she had to decide to put him down and it was... honestly devastating. He had been with us for 15 years and it's just not the same without him! Sweet post - thinking about what really matters.
Lindee,
So sorry t hear about Boo! I know how special he was to you and your family:(
