well, happy new year!
we moved into our new apartment in san jose a couple sundays ago and it has been quite the experience..let me tell you.
first, we had a super old wall heater, but we didn't think anything of it. long story short beau was at work on monday and i was home when the carbon monoxide alarm started going off for about 20 minutes so i decided to open the windows and turn the heater off. the alarm still went off for about 20 more minutes so i called PG&E- they came out immediately and ran tests on our heater and sure enough it was exuding excessive amounts of carbon monoxide. luckily we had turned our heater off throughout the night because the PG&E guy said we probably wouldn't have woken up. holy cow. welcome to our new apartment.
on top of that madness and having a new heater installed- i've had the flu for the past 24 hours. having the flu while pregnant is the worst, but i'm feeling better today so that's good.
anyways,
after austins wedding in december we headed to portland for a few days to check it out. after being there for three days we all decided that portland is one of the nicest and cleanest downtowns we have ever been too. we stayed in the heart of downtown, shopped, saw the portland zoo lights, went to a trailblazers game, checked out voo doo doughtnuts and saw brandon, meredith, gunner & nash.
we can't wait to go back someday!
